Westman Wildcats 0 Central Plains Capitals 1 The game had lots of action. It was fast pace, a battle on the boards, tight forechecking. The Cats had multiple scoring opportunities, outshooting Central Plains 40-26. Campbell in net. OCTOBER 6th : The Wildcats on Sarturday travelled to St. Anne to play the Eastman Selects for their second league game for the weekend. Westman Wildcats 3 Eastman Selects 3 This game saw the Cats outshooting their opposition 42-14, these multiple scoring opportunities coming from all the Cats lines. A chippy game which resulted in 8 penalties handed out to each team. Wildcats goals came from; Magwood assisted by M. Robertson and Hunt, unassisted one from Hunt and also Dyck with an assist from Haney. Tilbury in net. Oct 2, 2012, 1:30 pm The Wildcats were in Portage la Prairie on the weekend for Central Plains Pre Season Showcase, all MFMHL AAA teams and also Swift Current were there. The Wildcats played four games; two on Friday, one each on Saturday and Sunday. Games played against Eastman, Winnipeg Avros, Pembina Valley and Norman Wild. The WildCats finished the weekend 2-2. The Coaching Staff were pleased with the Rookies forwards and defence games this weekend also rookie Tilbury played good games in net, earned a shutout against Eastman. The team overall contribution with goals scored and shots on goal. The Cats this weekend outshot opponents 163-90. Statistics refer to Game Schedule. Sep 25, 2012, 7:31 am WILDCATS WIN 2 OUT OF 3 GAMES AT U19 FALL CLASSICThe Wildcats faced off with three teams over the weekend at the U19 Fall Classic at St. Cloud University. They were All Star Teams which were selected by Minnesota's Hockey Development Program for Minnesota's top elite players: UMHSEL-BLACK (Upper Midwest High School Elite League), Team Wisconsin, UMHSEL-RED (Upper Midwest High School Elite League). Each of the teams illustrated their high caliber skill in addition to strong passing plays. The Red Team had 3 players and The Black Team had 5 players from USA U19 National Team. The Wildcats had a great weekend! The Cats responded well to the level of competition. The games were hard fought battles. Game One: Wildcats 5 UMHSEL 2The first few minutes of the first period UMHSEL caught the Cats off guard, by scoring two quick goals. The Cats came back with a goal unassisted from Magwood. Before the period ended KJ Wallace from Oak Lake put one past the UMHSEL goalie with a pass from Coey. After 20 minutes of play UMHSEL was outshooting the Cats 17-6. The Game tied at 2 -2. The second period continued to see strong play end to end play with equal shots on goal. The Wildcats passing plays put two more in the net. The first unassisted from Kirkup. At the end of the period Coey with an awesome shot caught the goalie off guard with a pass from Crowe from Deloraine. The Cats now up 4-2. The third period saw UMHSEL putting pressure on the Wildcats, but The Cats continued to battle hard. Half way through the period Magwood showed her skill with another unassisted goal. It was now a 5-2 game. Campbell playing solid in net again this period had spectators cheering when denying UMHSEL with a few amazing glove saves. Game Shots on Goal: Wildcats 20 UMHSEL-Black 40 Game Two: Wildcats 3 Wisconsin 2The first period saw end to end action. Before the period ended, Wisconsin scored twice catching The Cats off guard. Shortly into the second period, The Cats got on the scoreboard with a goal from Brykaliuk with assists going to Coey and Vallotton. During the period both teams added to their shots on goal. The Wildcats tied the game before the period ended with another goal from Brykaliuk assisted by Pringle and Kirkup. The third period, both teams continued pressing each other. Midway through The Cats picked up the lead when Patterson put one past the Wisconsin goalie, Dyck and rookie Danis picked up assists on the play. Campbell played a solid game in net. Game Shots on Goal: Wildcats 21 Wisconsin 23 GAME Three: Wildcats 1 UMSHEL-RED 2This was another fast pace game with end to end action. The Red Team showing their skill but The Cats keeping pace. It was UMSHEL scoring first midway through the first period. The Cats soon got on board in the second period with a goal from Brykaliuk assists going to Kirkup and Williams. The third period The Cats saw more scoring opportunities. Before the period ended the UMSHEL team got a second goal from player #15 for a 2-1 lead. Campbell played another spectacular game in net. Game shots on goal: Wildcats 19 UMSHEL-RED 41 Sep 17, 2012, 2:57 pm WESTMAN WILDCATS BLANK MELVILLE in Exhibition GameThe Westman Wildcats were in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on Sunday, September 16th for an Exhibition Game against the Melville Prairie Fire. This game saw lots of physical play with a number of penalties issued to both teams. The Cats had multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game. Period 1 Magwood scored unassisted early in the period. Dyck followed with the second Cats goal assisted by Pringle and Haney. Period 2 Magwood put another puck past the Melville goalie unassisted. Before the period ended Magwood got her third for a hat trick with assists from Pringle and Coey. Period 3 Due to lots of penalties to both sides neither Team was able to get much flowing and the Wildcats hung on for the 4-0 victory. Tilbury and Campbell split the game for the shutout. The program, celebrating World Girls Hockey Day on October 13th, is designed to enhance participation while creating a positive hockey experience for young females in Manitoba. The program takes place in Hartney Manitoba.

Before the first period ended, Hunt carried up the puck and put one past the Raiders goalie with assists coming from Rookie Wallace from Oaklake and Coey to make the score 2-0. The next two periods the skilled Cats continued to press. All lines producing opportunites at and around the net. The second period found the Cats outshooting the Raiders. The 3rd goal was Brykaliuk's from Brandon assist going to Kirkup. The 4th goal again by Brykaliuk with assists from Kirkup and Williams. The last goal for the period came from Magwood unassisted. The score of 5-0 for the Cats. The third period, the skilled Cats added to their lead with 4 more goals. The 6th goal was by Vallotton with assists to Kirkup and Pringle. Brykaliuk unassisted scored for the 7th and also added another with a feed by Kirkup to make it 8-0. The last goal was scored by Kirkup assisted by Pringle and Williams. The Cats Defence played a strong game. Campbell earned a shut out in net. The game shots on goal: The Cats 42 Raiders 14
This game saw lots of physical play by each team with a high tempo pace. Period 1, The Cats scored the first goal which came from Magwood unassisted. After twenty minutes it was 1-0 for the Wildcats. Period 2, Regina came out to pressure more. The Cats scored again when Pringle put one past the Rebels goalie with assists from Kirkup and Brykaliuk. Period 3, Regina continued to pressure. The Wildcats got another goal this time from Kirkup assisted by Pringle. Another strong game from the Defence. Campbell played a solid game in net. The game shots on goal: Wildcats 15 Rebels 27 GAME 3 Westman Wildcats 4 Swift Current Wildcats 1 Period 1, The Westman Wildcats pressured Swift Current in their own zone. Midway through the period Coey put one past the Swift goalie with assist from rookie Crowe from Deloraine. Period 2 and the remainder of the game; Westman continued to pressure, with multiple scoring opportunities from all lines. Also Westman's Defence pressuring in their zone. Period 3, Westman scored three goals: The first from Kirkup with assist from Coey. Another from Kirkup assists going to Williams and Vallotton. The third goal from Brykaliuk unassisted. Rookie Tilbury from Melita played her first game as a Wildcat and played a solid game in net. The game shots on goal: Westman 40 Swift Current 12 GAME 4 Westman Wildcats 3 Regina Rebels 0 This final game for the weekend was 2nd versus 1st placing. The Westman Wildcats were first with top points. This was another high tempo game for the forwards, each team pressuring. The Cats defence playing a solid game again. Period 1 The Cats scored the first with a goal by Pringle. Period 2 saw two more goals by the Cats. The first one by Pringle assisted by Hunt and Vallotton. And with four minutes remaining in the period, Brykuliuk from Brandon put one past the Rebels goalie. The score now 3-0 for the Wildcats. Period 3 The pressure level increased. Both teams dealing with penalities. Campbell played an outstanding game in net for a second shutout for the Weekend. The game shots on goal: Cats 19 Rebels 30
