Ashton Bell led the way with 2 goals, while Jossa Danis, Jaycee Magwood, KJ Wallace, Courtney Ganske, and Katie Crowe each had singles. Jossa Danis, Kenzie Robinson and Tori Williams each had 2 assists. Michelle Kerdes, Jaycee Magwood, Brianna Williams, Jaedon Cooke, Mackenzie Roach, Ashton Bell, mad KJ Wallace had one assist each. Michelle Kerdes picked up the victory in net.
The Wildcats play Swift Current at 8:00 PM Dec 11, 2014, 6:49 am The Westman Wildcats hosted the Yellowhead Chiefs in Hartney on Tuesday night. The 1st period was a back and forth affair with good scoring chances at either end of the arena but it was the Chiefs who were able to get on the board first on a breakaway goal by by Sam Geekie. Shots on goal in the period were 12-9 in favour of Yellowhead. In the 2nd, the Chiefs were the more determined team and were rewarded with a McKenna Paddock goal off a shot from the point midway through the period. The Chiefs pressed hard to put the game away but the Wildcats weathered the storm and managed to cut the lead in half on a highlight reel goal from Jaycee Magwood with just under two minutes remaining in the period. The lone assist went to Katie Crow. Shots on goal in the period were 9-7 in favour of Westman. The 3rd period saw the Wildcats push hard to tie the game up. They had to fight through some adversity though, as they were forced to kill off a 5 on 3 penalty against. Westman flooded the net with shots and traffic. They came close on a couple of breakaways and hit a couple of posts. They were finally rewarded with a powerplay goal with 1:17 remaining in the period and with the goaltender pulled for the extra attacker as Jaycee Magwood drove the net from the corner of the rink and buried a low shot to tie the game. Assists on the play went to Kenzie Robinson and Missy Hunt. The Wildcats didn't stop there and were almost rewarded with the winning goal as the period wound down. Shots on goal in the 3rd were 19-4 in favour of Westman. In overtime, it was more of the same as the Wildcats continued to press. They were rewarded when Jenna Patterson forced a turnover with a strong forecheck and Jaedon Cooke picked up the puck and scored the winner. Shots on goal in OT were 2-1 in favour of Westman. Final shots were 41-24 in favour of Westman. Jenna Marshall picked up the win in net. The Wildcats travel to Wilcox, Saskatchewan this weekend to participate in the Mandi Schwarz Showcase tournament. Dec 8, 2014, 7:29 pm MIAC WOMEN'S HOCKEY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK Dec 8, 2014, 6:38 pm Jaycee Magwood (assisted by Jossa Danis) and Ashton Bell (assisted by Jaycee Magwood) scored 1st period goals to lead the Westman Wildcats to a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Avros on Sunday afternoon in Winnipeg.
Jenna Marshall picked up the win in net. Menial shots on net were 27-26 in favour of the Avros.

The Wildcats play the Winnipeg Avros Sunday afternoon at Keith Bodley Arena at 4:45 PM. Dec 2, 2014, 4:36 pm After falling behind 2-1 early in the 3rd period, the Wildcats needed some late game heroics to defeat the Thunder Bay Queens on Sunday. Katie Crowe scored on the powerplay off a rebound with an extra attacker on the ice with 31 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 2. Courtney Ganske picked up the assist.
Courtney Ganske scored the winner in OT off a slap shot from the point, assisted by Jaycee Magwood.
The Wildcats were dominant down the stretch as Thunder Bay tried to hold on to the lead as evidenced by the shot total in the 3rd period of 19-8 in favour of Westman and 6-0 in the overtime.
Final shots on net were 36-16 in favour of Westman. Jenna Marshall picked up the win in net. Dec 2, 2014, 4:35 pm The Wildcats soundly defeated Team Illinois on Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0. Ashton Bell scored 3 goals, Jaycee Magwood scored 2, with Kenzie Robinson and Missy Hunt each picking up singles. Magwood also had 2 assists, with singles going to Ganske, Wallace, Cooke, B. Williams, Vallotton, Crowe, and Danis.
