Jan 12, 2022, 7:35 pm The Westman Wildcats would like to extend its congratulations to Kelsey Page, a 4th year Wildcats defenseman from Souris, MB, who has committed to attend school at, and play hockey with, the Regina Cougars in the fall of 2022. The Cougars compete in the Canada West Conference of uSport. Kelsey plans to enroll in Pre-Occupational Therapy. In 143 career games with the Wildcats over the past 4 seasons, Kelsey has 10 goals, 20 assists for a total of 30 points. This season, in 18 league games, Kelsey has 6 goals and 8 assists for 14 points. From Coach Hodges of the Cougars, “Kelsey will bring a necessary physical presence to our blue line. We’ve had a number of Wildcats come through our program and I am excited to get another quality student-athlete from the region.” The University of Regina is a member of the Canada West Conference of uSport. It is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan and is composed of 10 faculties and one school that offer a variety of programs at the certificate, diploma, undergraduate and graduate degree levels. More than 15,000 students are currently enrolled.

Dec 13, 2021, 9:38 pm The Westman Wildcats would like to extend its congratulations to Emma Ramsey, a 3rd year Wildcats forward from Virden, MB, who has committed to attend school at, and play hockey with, the Assiniboine Cougars in the fall of 2022. Emma plans to enroll in the Social Worker program. In 83 career games with the Wildcats over the past 3 seasons, Emma has 14 goals, 21 assists for a total of 35 points.This season, in 14 league games, Emma has 2 assists. From Coach Bertone of the Cougars , “We are excited to sign Emma Ramsey to our program for the 2022-23 season. Emma was at the top of our list to get signed. Emma brings a strong work ethic and a Team First attitude. Her skates are always moving which tells us she’s reading and reacting to the play. Her high hockey IQ will be a great asset to the Cougars playing on all special teams.” Assiniboine Community College (ACC) is a community college in Manitoba, Canada. It is accredited by the Manitoba Council on Post-Secondary Education, created by the government of Manitoba. ACC offers over 30 programs in the fields of agriculture, environment, business, health and human services and trades and technology.
