Wildcats vs Yellowhead

The Wildcats were defeated 2-1 by Yellowhead in a shootout last night in Shoal Lake. Courtney Ganske got Westman on the board at the 16:51 mark of the 1st period off a nice feed from Kenzie Robinson.  Tori Williams picked up the other assist.  Yellowhead tied the game with 2:42 remaining in the 2nd period while shorthanded - but with their net empty due to the delayed penalty call to Westman - with a nice shot off the rush from Paddock.  The game remained tied through overtime.  Kaitie Slator suffered the loss in net.

The Wildcats were defeated 2-1 this afternoon in Hartney in a hard fought, tight checking battle.  Jenna Marshall suffered the loss in net.

The Wildcats travel to Shoal Lake on Tuesday to face the Yellowhead Chiefs at 7:30 PM. They host the Prince Albert Bears on Wednesday night at 8:00 PM in Deloraine.

Andrea Sanderson scored a hat trick in the 3rd period, including an empty netter, to erase a 1-0 deficit and lead the Wildcats to a 4-1 victory over the Capitals tonight in Portage.  Mckenzie Meek scored the other marker for the Wildcats.  Kaitie Slator picked up the victory in net, stopping 20 of 21 shots.

Wildcats vs Interlake

Kenzie Robinson scored two goals, including one shorthanded, to lead the Wildcats to a 6-1 victory over Interlake Friday night in Hartney.  Cammy Clyne, Katie Crowe, Shae Vallotton, and Ashley Seekings each picked up single markers.  Courtney Ganske and Andrea Sanderson each picked up a pair of assists, while Robinson, Crowe, Mckenzie Meek and Mackenzie Roach each picked up single assists.  Jenna Marshall picked up the victory in net, stopping 10 of the 11 shots she faced.  Westman fired 62 shots on the Interlake net.

1st Period

Wildcats vs Fraser Valley

Kenzie Robinson scored the tying goal with 1 minute and 38 seconds remaining to make the score 2-2 against the Fraser Valley Rush this morning in Calgary.  The Wildcats dominated the game and outshot their opponent 40-15.  Unfortunately, the Wildcats needed to win by a large margin to move through to the semi-final.  Kaitie Slator was in net for the Wildcats. 


Wildcats vs Sherwood Park

The Westman Wildcats were defeated 5-0 by the Sherwood Park Fury this afternoon in Calgary.  Jenna Marshall suffered the loss in net.  The Wildcats were outshot 30-19. Period scores were 3-0, 4-0, 5-0. The girls have the 29th off ahead of a pivotal final game on the 30th versus the Fraser Valley Rush.


Wildcats vs Edmonton

Kenzie Robinson scored the only goal of the game eight minutes into the 1st period on the powerplay to lead the Westman Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over the Edmonton Thunder.  Kaitie Slator picked up the shutout, stopping all 16 shots she faced.

Jaedon Cooke and Aly O'Hara each scored two goals to lead the Westman Wildcats to a 6-1 victory over the Kootenay Wild this afternoon in Calgary at the Mac's Tournament.
