The Wildcats opened the 3rd period on the powerplay and it did not take long for them to stretch the lead to 2-0 with a goal from Kenzie Robinson, assisted by Courtney Ganske and Katie Crowe. The Wild would make it pat 1 goal game, however, off a Wildcats turnover. The wildcats turned up the heat again and Ashton Bell eventually scored an empty net goal to make it 3-1. The Wildcats outshot the Wild in the 3rd period 22-8.
