Wildcats vs Eastman

The Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Eastman Selects in their final outing at the Central Plains Pre-Season tournament.  Despite the loss on the scoreboard, the Wildcats played their most complete game of the season so far and feel ready for the regular season.  Jillian Szabo suffered the loss in net, stopping 19 of 22 shots.

The Wildcats defeated the Thunder Bay Queens 2-0 Saturday evening in Portage.  Emma Ramsey and Shaylee Scraba scored for the Wildcats.  Natalie Williamson picked up the win in net.

The Wildcats defeated the Central Plains Capitals 3-0 early Saturday morning in Portage.  Shae Murray scored her first career goal and Jillian Szabo earned the shutout in net.

The Westman Wildcats needed a strong 3rd period to come back and tie Weyburn this afternoon in Portage.  The Wildcats gave up goals in the 1st and 2nd period before storming back in the 3rd with two goals to tie the game.  Natalie Williamson picked up the tie in net

The Westman Wildcats defeated the Rocky Mountain Raiders 2-1 this afternoon in Calgary to secure 2nd place in their pool. Shaylee Scraba scored the winner 7 minutes into the 3rd period. Jillian Szabo was solid in net for the Wildcats stopping 31 of 32 shots.

The Westman Wildcats fell 2-1 to a very fast and aggressive Edmonton Panda squad this morning in Calgary. Natalie Williamson was solid in net for the Wildcats stopping 30 of 32 shots.

Wildcats vs Saskatoon

The Westman Wildcats began the Firestarter Tournament with a 3-3 tie against the Saskatoon Stars. The Wildcats had stake d a 2-0 lead heading into the 3rd period but gave up 3 goals, two on the powerplay, in the first 4 minutes and 6 seconds of the 3rd to fall behind 3-2. They would tie it up with just under 6 minutes to play. Jillian Szabo was in net for the Wildcats.
